Shirley Kiatta, RN, CMC is a registered nurse with 40 years of nursing experience in the Monterey Peninsula and Salinas communities. She has worked as an RN for Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice.

Shirley specializes in helping to reduce the stress and overwhelm that comes with being a caregiver for a family member or friend. She has extensive experience working with the elderly and their families in the areas of acute care, home care, and care management.

Shirley is committed to helping her clients find the appropriate level of care to provide a safe environment and maintain maximum independence for persons with changing care needs. Shirley believes that individuals and families who are proactive and seek out a plan for addressing the challenges of aging, will save time and money and will experience increased quality of life for themselves and their communities.

She is also a long-time community member with a wide range of professional and personal contacts in all areas of general and elder care. Shirley continues to meet with representatives from community resources with the intention of staying informed about services available.

Shirley has extensive experience working with families from out of the area. Her process can be adjusted to accommodate these referrals. She is also available for presentations to any group or organization that would benefit from Elder Care information.

Shirley received her training as a registered nurse from Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Shirley is the recipient of the 2010 Business Excellence Award from the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, and was member of the 2011 Leadership Monterey Peninsula class.
